Ripple is a "panic button" that can send it's trigger message to any app that is a "panic responder". Such apps can do things like lock, disguise themselves, delete private data, send an emergency message, and more. It is meant for situations where there is time to react, but where users need to be sure it is not mistakenly set off. This is a BETA version of this app! We are working now to add support to as many other apps as possible. ChatSecure, Orweb, Umbrella, and Zom already have support, these apps are coming soon: Courier, PanicButton, OpenKeychain, Orfox, SMSSecure, StoryMaker. Here are two example scenarios: * An organization gets regularly raided by the security forces, who search all of the computers and mobile devices on the premises. The organization usually has at least a minute or two of warning before a raid starts. They need a very reliable way to trigger wiping all of the data from the sensitive apps. * An aid worker has lots of sensitive data about people on their device. They regularly sync that data to a secure, central database. Occasionally, the aid worker has to leave the country on very short notice. The border guards regularly download the entire contents of mobile devices of people crossing through. While waiting in line at the border, the aid worker sees the border guards seizing people's devices, and then remembers all the data on the device, so she unlocks the phone and hits the wipe trigger, which wipes all sensitive apps from the device. When the aid worker returns to the central office, the device is again synced up with the central database. This project was started as part of the T2 Panic work. RoadEagle retrieves traffic information from various open data portals (most of them made available by road operators), displays the data in a list and makes it available to TraFF-aware applications, such as Navit. Currently Poland and Lithuania are supported. A data connection is required. The actual data reported may vary between countries. Also, as RoadEagle needs to convert the data from different formats to TraFF, it may not be able to represent all traffic messages as intended by their creators. This app receives requests from compatible apps (consumers) which may expose the device location (and, possibly, where you intend to travel). Because of the location information, consumer apps may refuse to send such requests to apps without location permission. Why this app? When you travel near country borders, your phone may automatically connect to a stronger cell tower across the border—even if you never left your country. This can quickly result in costly roaming fees. Manually toggling roaming is inconvenient and easy to forget.Roaming Borders automates the guardrails so you don’t have to. What it does Block roaming when you don’t want it: Select allowed countries; if your device connects outside that list, data traffic is blocked. Avoid surprise charges: Prevent accidental cross-border roaming near national frontiers. Simple presets or full control: Choose ready-made country presets or build your own list for upcoming trips. On-device only: Uses Android’s VpnService as a local firewall. No tunneling to servers. How it works Roaming Borders runs a lightweight, on-device VPN that filters traffic based on your current country. When your current country is not in your allow-list → block data traffic system-wide. When your current country is allowed → allow traffic as normal. When connected to Wi-Fi, the guard pauses automatically and resumes once Wi-Fi disconnects. Note on reboot: After restarting your phone, the guard re-enables after a short delay. To be extra safe, enable Airplane mode before restarting.

Roaming Guard protects you from accidental roaming connections by monitoring your mobile network operator. The app compares your current operator against a customizable MCC/MNC allowlist or denylist. When your phone connects to an unwanted operator, you can choose to either receive a warning notification or — with some limitations — automatically block data traffic. Roaming Guard includes a predefined EU/EEA allowlist, and you can easily create your own custom list that perfectly matches your mobile plan. Regular Android apps cannot completely block data traffic or even disable data roaming. Therefore, this app implements a local, on-device VPN service that drops all traffic routed through the VPN when enabled. However, this approach has the following technical limitations: - Android only supports one active VPN at a time, meaning conflicts may arise if you use another VPN app. - Tethering and mobile hotspot traffic is not routed through the VPN by Android and therefore cannot be blocked. - System apps that can explicitly select their network connection may bypass the VPN. - DNS and NTP traffic have been reported to leak outside the VPN. - There might be short time windows after boot, or when enabling the VPN, where traffic might not be filtered.
