Displays current weather and forecasts from OpenWeatherMap. Two kinds of forecast are available: 14-day daily weather and 5-day three-hourly weather. You can select any of the 200,000 cities supported by OpenWeatherMap. NonFreeNet: OpenWeatherMap service is not open.

WorldMap is a simple Android app that displays a map of the world taken from Wikimedia and allows the user to scroll around on it. The map is licensed as PD-USGOV; PD-USGOV-CIA-WF - more info here) The map itself is quite large (6480x3888), so it's way too big to fit in memory all at once (over 48MB). The VM heap size Android supports is either 16 or 24 megs, so we can't fit the whole thing in memory at once. To overcome this, WorldApp uses the BitmapRegionDecoder API (available as of Android 2.3.3) to decode just what it needs to display. The app can also serve as a viewer for arbitrary images opened via a (3rd-party) file manager.

This is an Android client for the Magic Wormhole protocol. You can use it to exchange files between your phone and another Magic Wormhole client, including the original command-line client. How to send files * From the main screen, tap the "send" button. Then use the "choose file" button to pick the file that you want to send. * Alternatively, open the file that you want to send and tap the share icon: Wormhole should be listed among the apps you can use to share the file. * Either way, the app will have generated a code, a random number followed by two random words. The person to whom you want to send the file will have to enter this code in their Magic Wormhole client. The code is also copied to the clipboard for convenience. * Tap the "send" button. When the user at the other end of the wormhole enters the code and confirms, the file will start transferring. * The "send" button will change to "done" when the transfer is complete. How to receive files * From the main screen, tap the "receive" button. * Enter the code that the sender has provided you with and tap the "connect" button. * You will see the incoming file's name and size. If all looks good, tap the "receive" button to start the file transfer. * When the file is downloaded from the wormhole, the "receive" button will change to an "open dir" button. The app is still in beta and there is still a lot to be desired. However, the basic functionality of sending and receiving files seems to be there. I find it useful, so someone else might as well. The code is open sourced under GPLv3. Pull requests are welcome.

This simple app monitors the number of failed login attempts. If a certain number of attempts is exceeded, the device is automatically shut down. This app only works on a rooted device. You have to grant the app permanent superuser privileges and register it as a device administrator. These steps are automatically initiated on the first startup.

This project implements an X11 server for use with Android devices, written in Java. The X11 server runs within an Android View subclass, allowing it to be embedded in other applications. This is a fully functional and light-weight demo application. To display programs within the X-Server app you need to set the DISPLAY environment variable on your host device. X11-Basic is a dialect of the BASIC programming language with graphics capability. It has a very rich command set, though it is still easy to learn. The syntax is most similar to GFA-Basic for ATARI-ST. It is a structured dialect with no line numbers. A full manual and command reference is available. XLogcatManager is an Android app to improve LogcatManager added in Android 13 using Xposed hooks. The app requires a rooted device to work.Android 13 added LogcatManager which shows a dialog when an app runs logcat command that has READ_LOGS permission before it is allowed to read system wide logs and access is only allowed for the next 60s, after which approval is required again. Access dialog will only be shown if the app is on the top, even if it has a foreground service, and access will be denied for all other background apps automatically. On previous android versions, the app only needed to be granted READ_LOGS permission once with adb or root and then could read logs whenever it wanted.The XLogcatManager xposed module was created to allow rooted users to not have to grant adb or root access to apps that shouldn't require it just to read logs by solving LogcatManager design issues and some bugs.FeaturesAllows access till next reboot to the app if users selects allow button in the allow access dialog instead of just for the next 60s.No 60s timeout to reshow dialog if access was (accidentally) denied by user.The dialog will also show for apps with foreground service instead of just top apps.Fixes the bugs mentioned in the issuetracker issue based on the solutions provided, but implementation is slightly different in some cases due to method hooking limitations.

This XPosed module allows you to manually override the headphone jack detection of an Android device. Most smartphones provide a headphone/headset jack that allows using a headset instead the internal speaker/microphone. To automatically select between these, a mechanical switch is added to detect a plugged in cable. If this switch breaks and replacing it is not realistic, your phone may become more or less unusable. With this module you are able to manually control the headphone detection state and continue using your phone.

XScreenSaver has about 150 different live wallpapers (and now daydreams as well) to use on your screen - with more coming in future editions! This is one of the best and most robust live wallpaper apps out there. The Android port is fairly recent, some of the demos don't work yet.
